Armed guards in schools

By advocating armed guards in our schools, Georgia School Superintendent John Barge, has shown that he doesn't really understand or want to address the gun violence our country is struggling to deal with.

 His solution, based on the NRA proposal, is the easy way out. Instead of facing the real issue, his proposal will only add to the complexity and danger that our children now face. If we follow his line of thinking we will end up with armed guards in every church, library, movie theatre, department store, restaurant, bar, bus, train, and plane. 

Yes it would be great for the gun business, but we would be destroying the very essence of our freedom by such a move. Do we want to live with constant fear in armed  fortresses? With Barge's line of thinking, that's where we are heading.
