Only three weeks into his administration and Trump is
already a national disgrace. The majority of his cabinet nominations represent
the antithesis of the very departments they are now running. His immigration
ban was judged to be unconstitutional, poorly thought out, and racist. His
resulting tweets have showered the honorable judiciary with infantile insults
that are outrageous. His blatant support for his daughter's business from his
seat of power is a shocking conflict of interest. His national security advisor
has been caught out promising the Russians that the Obama sanctions against
Russia for interference in the US election would be reviewed once Trump was in
power; a possible criminal act. Trump has constantly attacked the media as
lying about him and his administration when the facts speak differently. Trump
lives in his own braggadocio world of alternative truth. He is a pathological
liar as evidenced by the pages and pages of reports of his lies published on
the politico site. The republicans, who once despised this man, are now trying
to rationalize his actions and provide cover for him; shame on them. All those
who voted for him are responsible for this decline in civility, this demeaning
of the office of president, and the demise of our democratic institutions.
Republicans need to search their souls, if they still have one, to stand up
against this demagoguery which if left unchecked will ruin our nation
