David Perdue

April 29th 2015

It’s sad that in Georgia, a state that is almost fifty percent democrat,  there is no one  ready to stand up against the republican machine and run for the senate next year. We had an opportunity last year when Michelle Nunn offered an alternative and a voice for almost half of us to represent our interests in congress, and yet the apathy of the Georgia voter in a mid-term election let the chance slip away.

Instead what we got was a carbon copy republican following the same tired and flawed platform of ideas that help the rich few in our midst and deprive the poor and underprivileged of needed support. David Perdue’s maiden speech in the senate echoed the usual rhetoric that passes for conservative policy. Ant-Obama sentiment, tax reductions for the wealthy and fat greedy corporations, and repeal of the ACA which has helped so many in the country in spite of the republican rants and raves against it.

His experience from business has convinced him that running a country is like running a corporation.  Unfortunately there are too many conservatives with that incorrect viewpoint, and it has had the impact of lengthening the great recession we have been in since 2008. We need people in congress who really understand economic science and it’s application. Not the amateurs and biased ideologues we have in place today.
