In November Americans face a momentous decision regarding
the direction in which we take our country. On the one hand we can decide to
follow a progressive agenda aimed at helping all Americans with inclusive
policies that encourage growth with equality. On the other hand we can revert
to isolationism that rewards the rich and marginalized the poor and minorities
in our society. No matter what we think of the personal traits of the
candidates, it is the policies, programs and actions they take that will directly
impact us all. Our choice should be made on sound reasoning and clear thinking
about how they will govern, not how loudly or bombastically they extol their
own virtues or mock their opponents. And in the final analysis we need to
remember the position of military control that we will give one of these candidates
that could determine the very future of our world. So regardless of what our
biases, are we have to think very carefully before casting that vote. It is
clearly a choice of going forward positively into the future with Hillary, or
going backward negatively into the past with Trump.
