Refugees in Georgia
December 13 2015
Stimulated by Jay Bookman's article on Governor Deal's
stance on refugees I began to think that perhaps the good governor hadn't gone
far enough. After all we have such open borders to five other states whose
residents travel freely down the roads and through the forests to our beloved
state, bringing all sorts of unsavory characters who could threaten our cherished
Georgian way of life. Then there's Hartsfield. What about all those local
and international flights bringing in the millions of unknowns. Perhaps a
no-fly zone is required. Thank goodness our coast is well defended though we
may have to take a good look at all that freighter traffic sailing up the
Savannah River. Maybe we should ask the feds for funds to erect a big wall
around the state just like the good people of Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Hungary
are doing. After all the fools in Washington offered money to help the poor get
Medicaid, which of course we turned our noses up at, maybe they'll ante up some
cash for ramparts.
