Vladimir Putin has achieved
something no enemy has ever done to the USA. He has used our own
technology and media against us to influence the very heart of our democracy,
our electoral process, to drive a wedge between us. He has done that in order
to elect an administration that is sympathetic to Russia and Putin's
aspirations. Putin is certainly not interested in making America great again;
he is only interested in elevating Russia's position in the world.
A large section of our country,
including the media, fell for Putin's deception and helped Trump win the Electoral
College votes. As a result we are now in the dangerous position of seeing our
country weaken as Trump blunders his way and tramples on decades of progress
like a bull in a china shop. He already is creating chaos by preferring to
listen to unscrupulous characters like Julian Assange instead of the patriotic
men and women of the US intelligence Services. It is nativity at best and
downright dangerous stupidity at worst.
Now, more than ever, we need our
congress to stand up firm with America's interest at heart. Put
aside partisan bias and control Trump's childish behavior before he ruins our
republic and the liberal democracy on which it was built.
