America's Sad Future

Once again the republicans have tricked their way into the White House. Hillary Clinton won by over a million votes, (and counting), yet the voter suppression system in republican controlled states gave the Electoral College votes to Donald Trump. The last time this happened, we suffered a major attack on our country, became involved in two devastating wars that killed and wounded many thousands of our citizens and are still continuing 15 years later. And because of the policies and actions of the conservative government, we fell into a horrible recession that cost millions of jobs and trillions of dollars and sent our debt skyrocketing. Now we are about to do the same thing again. 

With Donald Trump and the republicans in control of the country we, once again, stand on the brink of disaster. Their policies of huge tax cuts for the rich, cutting Social Security and Medicare, repealing Obamacare, dissolving agreements on climate change, deportation of millions of immigrants, privatizing public education, and empty promises of jobs and growth will plunge us into the darkest days since the civil war.

Most Americans want peace of mind, security for their families, opportunity to live and work and progress, and a sense of respect for their country and themselves. Donald Trump will bring the antithesis of that and we all will suffer for decades to come.
