Trump's Deplorables

The vast throng of Trump supporters claim to love his "straight talk" and his disdain for political correctness. Yet when Hillary Clinton calls them out for harboring masses of deplorables, she is vilified for her politically incorrect statement. But was she wrong? Polls by Reuters and others show that somewhere between 65% and 77% of Trump supporters think Obama is a Muslim. That's deplorable considering the absolute clarity of his Christian faith. Over 59 % of them don't think Obama is a US citizen. Wrong again. More than 70% support or strongly support banning Muslims from entering the USA. A similar number, 70%, agree with Trump's generalization that illegal Mexicans in the USA are bringing crime into the country and are rapists and thugs. Nearly 50% of Trump supporters consider blacks as more violent than whites and involved in criminal acts. Over 40% of trump supporters view blacks as lazy and rude.   Past legal proceedings have shown that Trump and his father were taken to task for their racist policies on renting out their New York apartments. So his own racism is clearly on record as well as on display in his "off the cuff" diatribes and tweets that his followers love.  Given this data I would say Hillary was absolutely correct and may have understated it.  I guess the truth hurts.
