The Supreme Court

The republican attitude to blocking any Supreme Court nominee by President Obama and now Hillary Clinton, if she is elected, is obstructionist and unconstitutional.  It is a direct violation of the intent of our government structure to provide counterbalance regarding our laws. The republications have the mistaken view that a conservative justice must be replaced by someone of similar philosophy. That is not what the founders intended. Our government system was meant to shift between left thinking and right thinking over time as strategies are enacted and laws are applied and modified. This approach has served us well for 240 years and now the republicans are trying to change it so that it becomes a single party system with authoritarian control. We shouldn't let this happen. It will destroy our constitutional republic by marginalizing the opposing view. Our government is supposed to represent all, but republicans won't accept that and demand full and absolute control under their philosophy. We should not let that happen.
