Georgia seems to have finally gone over the edge. A picture
in the AJC of a gunslinger carrying a high powered AR-15 rifle through the
airport terminal building has gained applause and congratulations from
the NRA and the gun toting supporters across the state.
How crazy can we get? It only takes a single misstep to
initiate murder and mayhem, and this irresponsible act by a reckless
individual could have turned the airport building into a killing field.
Our elected legislators are to blame for this devolution towards anarchy, and
Governor Deal needs to take note of how far we have moved from a peaceful
civilized state to bordering on the Wild West. We are the laughing stock of
rational Western civilization to let such a thing occur legally.
