Why in the world would the AJC publish a letter from a reader
urging Mike Luckovitch to create a degrading cartoon of Mohammed. I thought the
editorial staff had more sense than to react to such inflammatory comments and
would have picked a reasonable letter from the thousands you probably received
on the topic.
In any event I'm sure that Luckovitch doesn't have to dig
1400 years into the past to come up with cartoon material. He already has
a plethora of opportunities in our modern world from the ludicrous
actions, attitudes, and philosophies of the conservatives in our midst.
